Overview

This course aims to push the students to recognize what's meant by Social Mobility as it refers to Mobility of individuals increasingly and descending of the social spatial in modern groups as it is a new phenomenon linked to modern societies in mobility that goes up and down among one generation or more and it usually is linked to the occasional mobility.

Intended learning outcomes

- The student must be familiarized with the concepts of social mobility and the most important characteristics and styles, it's relation to gradual class & occupational mobility , spatial , intellectual and economic , his awareness the meaning of social mobility and its relation towards updated names and the most important factors that control the process of social mobility such as education , immigration and political changes, developing thier abilities to discuss and analyze.

Teaching and learning methods

Teaching the course basically relies on two parts:

- theoretical and practical:

1- Theoretical:

From lectures.

2- Practical:

By discussing and searching that helps the student to acquire the required skills.

Methods of assessments

1- 40% for mid-term activities divided into:

- 30 % for written exam

- 10% for classroom discussion.

2- 60 marks for final exam.
