Overview

The course of Social Concepts and Texts in English was designed to study many social concepts and texts circulating in sociological thought, especially concepts and texts related to the fields of sociology. In addition, this course focuses on many other concepts that are used in the field of theories and methods of social research.

Intended learning outcomes

1- Know the specific facts and specific dates.2- Knowledge of technical terms and the meanings of verbal and non-verbal symbols.3- Knowledge of abstract theories and structures and knowledge of the conventional conventions in dealing with phenomenaRecognize phenomena and knowledge and know the classifications, categories and criteria.

Teaching and learning methods

The course is taught by giving lectures with theoretical explanation and using the blackboard and calligraphy with discussion and how to use terms and their correct pronunciation - the time of each lecture is 3 hours -

Methods of assessments

Students are evaluated through a written midterm exam in the fifth week with a percentage of 20%. In the sixth week, students take an oral exam. The evaluation rate is 15%. In the seventh week, students submit working papers and activities related to the course, and a score of 10% is given for that, followed by the periodic assessment and its grade. 5%, then the final exam, which is 60% of the total marks.
