Overview

This course aims to enable the students to comprehend the importance of Civil Society and reality & role the Civil society organizations and to analyze the relation between the state and Civil society and its relation to democracy, the challenges that stand against Civil society and the third world countries and the Civil society relation with the development and policy.

Intended learning outcomes

The student understanding to the importance of Civil society and its institutes and its service role in all levels weather they are legal or associative or charity and its relation to the state and international organizations for Civil society and its important role locally or internationally and the most crucial charters in Arabic countries and other places that adapted it as an entity which ingrains democracy.

Teaching and learning methods

This course is mainly depends on two parts :

- theoretical part.

-practical part.

The theoretical one includes course explanation by lectures with good environment and the practical one involves sharing information and discussion about civil society to aquire knowledge, awareness and exercise.
