Overview

This course is one of the compulsory subjects in sociology department that interests in Familiarizing the students with the comprehension of social work ( its concepts and underpinnings) its ways, fields and its concerns with other sociology sciences.

Intended learning outcomes

The student will be able to know the development of social work as a human occupation and its reality in the society, understanding its principles & methodologies.

Teaching and learning methods

- theoretical part as classroom lectures.

- practical part as sharing discussion.

Methods of assessments

- mid- term activities 40% divided into,

20% written exam and 10% oral discussion, 10 practical work.
