It is one of the compulsory courses for students in the sociology program. The social psychology course is concerned with introducing the student to the concept of social psychology (definition, importance, origin, goals), historical development, fields of study in it, and the relationship between it and other social sciences.
Intended learning outcomes
After passing the course, the student becomes able to remember and retrieve the learned information and repeat it without prejudice to its meaning and the ability to understand and draw conclusions, analyze the information and rephrase it in his own language within its cognitive framework.
Teaching and learning methods
Teaching the course is based on theoretical explanation using the blackboard, calligraphy, and discussion.
Methods of assessments
The class work score represents 40% of the final total, divided by 30% for the written midterm exam, 10% for discussion and mini-scientific research, and the remaining 60% for the final exam.
