This course is one of the compulsory subjects in sociology department and it has a requirement ( Research Methodology) code > SE 357 .
It concerns to help the students to recognize the main theoretical bases and applied skills to design the social research on a specific foundation and to put changeable plan , create a database.
It also aims to qualify individuals who are able to scientifically think in a good positive way, obtain skills in research scientifically and to distinguish between the steady variables, independent and secondary one .
To distinguish between inquiries results and recommendations and how to arrange them , and its relation.
Intended learning outcomes
At the end of the course, the student will be able to comprehend , analyze and remember the course content , able to think scientifically in a good systematic way in interpret, link , analyze and implement objectively and to be able to solve the problems, improve the skills of designing researches in the educational fields, connecting them with the society needs .
Teaching and learning methods
It mainly relies on classroom lectures mixed with discussion.
Methods of assessments
- mid-term exam 40% divided into:
30% for written exam and 10% for discussion and researching.
- 60% for final exam.
