Overview

Prosody course, code RA116: It is taught to first-year students from the Department of Arabic Language for two hours per week. The student studies prosody and rhyme and their various topics.

The course aims to:

- Knowing the principles and rules of prosody science.

Gaining an understanding of the weight of poetry and its breakers by applying the rules of performance.

Students should be proficient in the ratio of poetry to the sea.

The value of the study returns to the student:

A student should be familiar with the history of the emergence of this science.

- That the student understands the meanings of the terms related to the science of prosody and rhyme.

A teacher should ensure that the student knows the activations of each sea and the slips that occur in it, along with their uses.

Intended learning outcomes

Mental skills:

Gaining an understanding of the weight of poetry and its breakers by applying the rules of performance.

- The ability to discover the poetic necessities that poets resort to by applying them to selected verses.

Students should be able to distinguish between the seas of Arabic poetry.

Practical and professional skills:

Acquiring the skill of reading heritage books.

Acquiring the skill of using modern technology in research and presentation.
