The course “Guiding Readings” and its code RA416: It is taught to students of the fourth academic year in the Department of Arabic Language for two hours per week. The student studies the science of directed reading.
The course aims to:
- Introducing the student to the principles of the science of directing readings, its principles, rules, and benefits.
Introducing the student to readings, and that their difference is a difference of diversity, not a difference of opposition.
- Eliciting the semantic diversity, and exploring the phonetic, morphological, and grammatical subtleties.
The value of the study returns to the student:
- Knowing the translations of the ten reciters, their narrators, the methods of their chain of transmission, and knowing who they quoted from.
- The ability to raise the biggest similarities raised about the Quranic readings, then respond to them and refute them with argument and evidence.
Acquisition of scientific wealth regarding the position of the language in readings, and the relationship between them with regard to sounds, morphology, and grammar.
