Overview

Semantics course and its code RA314: It is taught to students of the third academic year of the Department of Arabic Language for two hours per week. The student studies knowledge of semantics.

The course aims to:

Familiarity with the student of semantics, which is the pinnacle of linguistic studies.

- Discovering the places of beauty in texts and the manifestations of miracles in the Qur’an.

The student will be able to analyze the semantic text.

The value of the study returns to the student:

- The student should know modern theories of semantic analysis.

- That the student understand the terms of semantics: pronunciation - meaning - synonym - common - antonym - semantic field.

To be aware of the history and development of science.

Intended learning outcomes

Mental skills:Applying semantic theories to the Arabic language.- That the student understand the relationship between semantics and other sciences.To master the semantic analysis of texts.Practical and professional skills:Acquiring the skill of perusing heritage books and books of hadith scholars specialized in semantics.Acquiring the skill of using modern technology in research and presentation.- To be able to understand the texts through the semantic theories he studied.
