Overview

This course aims to define the concept of scientific research and ways of scientific approach and types of scientific researches, to paraphrase a topic of a research in a good way, linking between two variables and it concerns to a the research problem, terms and objectives of the research and the importance of connecting the aims and problem inquiries, identifying the terms chosen by the researcher and study significance, types of theoretical and applied researches , choosing the sample, types and tools chosen to collect data such as:

Observation , questionnaire and types of questionnaires, types of questions.

The researcher must understand the time-frame in the stage of researching, writing a final report , to distinguish between suggestions and recommendations, writing the references in a good systematic way.

Intended learning outcomes

At the end of program, the student will be able to write a well-organized research, linking between aims and inquiries in the research problem, identifying the terms that must be used , considering the time- frame, how to collect relevant data through tools chosen by the researcher and writing a final report in a good systematic way.

Teaching and learning methods

The student will be able to identify a certain social problem in his / her society, conducting a methodological study in the society surrounded, finding solutions to this problem.

Methods of assessments

- mid- term exam 40% besides, discussions during the lectures.

- 60% for final exam.
