Overview

This course is concerned with the study of:

1- Training on the skills of formulating educational objectives.

2- Training in the use of problem-solving strategy in science teaching.

3- Training in the use of concept map strategy.

4- Training on the use of computers in teaching and learning.

5- Training in the art of formulating questions when explaining the lesson.

6- Training on classroom and time management.

7- Training on the use of the school laboratory in the science course.

8- Training on the preparation of a number of teaching aids and the skill of using them in the lesson.

9- Training on the formulation of the daily lesson plan and its components.

10- Training on student evaluation.

11- Training on the use of modern strategies in science teaching.

Intended learning outcomes

1. Know the steps and components of the teaching plan (quarterly, annual and daily).

2. Develop students' abilities to use appropriate teaching strategies to teach the chemistry course.

3. Identify the appropriate types of manual and electronic teaching aids to teach topics selected from the chemistry course for the secondary stage.

4. Providing students with comparative skills between different teaching methods in terms of their suitability for different stages of education.

5. Know the types and methods of evaluation and measurement used when implementing selected lessons in the chemistry course.

6. Identify the steps and components of the teaching plan (quarterly, annual and daily).

7. Enumerates appropriate teaching strategies for teaching the chemistry course.

8. Determine the appropriate types of manual and electronic teaching aids to teach topics selected from the chemistry course for the secondary stage.

9. Compare different teaching methods in terms of their suitability for different stages of education.

10. Distinguish the types and methods of evaluation and measurement used when implementing selected lessons in the chemistry course.

11. Links the behavioral goals to the lesson topic in the daily plan.

12. Discusses appropriate teaching strategies for each subject in the chemistry course.

13. Differentiate between the teaching aids available for teaching the chemistry course.

14. Discovers different teaching methods in terms of their suitability for different stages of education.

15. Deduces and analyzes the types and methods of evaluation and measurement used when implementing selected lessons in the chemistry course.

16. Prepares a daily teaching plan for selected topics from the chemistry course for the general education stage.

17. Formulates correct and appropriate educational objectives for the topic of the lesson.

18. Selects teaching aids suitable for the method of teaching and the subject of the lesson.

19. Implements in front of his colleagues the teaching plan prepared by him.

20. Employ his knowledge of educational foundations in the implementation of the lesson plan (classroom management, dealing with individual differences and the use of appropriate assessment methods).

21. The student should be able to communicate and communicate in writing and orally.

22. The student should be able to work in a team collectively.

23. The ability to write down private information by the student.
