Overview

The main objective of this course is to reinforce what the student is supposed to learn in high school and build basic writing skills, the student learns how to classify sentences and provide them with various topics to develop writing skill, and they also deal with writing rules, spelling and punctuation marks to improve their writing.

Intended learning outcomes

At the end of the course, the student must be able to:

  1. Write meaningful sentences.
  2. Write different types of sentences.
  3. Identify sentence problems and write correctly.
  4. Avoid common spelling mistakes.
  5. Use the punctuation marks and capital letters correctly.
  6. Understand the basics of the writing process and prewriting techniques.
  7. To be familiar with basic paragraph structure and writing

Teaching and learning methods

The course will be presented to the student through lectures, panel discussions, assignments, homework and exercises.
