Overview

This course deals with various models of fictional creative writing, poetry, and non-fiction creative writing through performance as public and visual art, and as literature that representing the society. Students practice writing books, films, and short stories.

Intended learning outcomes

At the end of the course, the student must be able to:

11. Students recognize the concept and types of creative writing.

2. Enable students to discuss examples of creative writing in English language.

3. Enable students to write fluently in English.

4. Students write short stories.

5. Students’ ability to evaluate and correct the short stories using writing techniques they learned.

Teaching and learning methods

The course will be presented to the student through lectures, panel discussions, or assignments and exercises, discussion and dialogue

Methods of assessments

Methods of evaluating students in this course:

(class work 40% & final 60%)

Class work is divided into written midterm, assignments and tasks.

Final exam is in a form of written exam.
