Overview

This course aims to: Develop the student's skills in speaking and listening in English, as well as developing the student's ability to understand and translate what he hears from conversations.

The course also aims to enhance students' skills in building a conversation with colleagues, through scheduled training and a variety of assessment methods. As well as developing his listening skills and understanding the content of the conversation The course focuses on developing the student's listening and speaking skills through group and individual training and activities.

Intended learning outcomes

By the end of the course, the student should be able to:

1. Students use expressions that show polite behavior through different texts. 2. Students communicate skillfully orally in English.

3. Employ his knowledge of the key features of effective conversation.

4. Students learn about methods and methods to improve students' speaking and listening skills in English.

5. Explains with understanding the text of the conversation in English when listening to it.

6. Improve his language and expressions and increase his vocabulary in the English language in a variety of ways.

7. Apply the steps of effective listening to the conversation in English.

8. Develop his vocabulary and idioms when speaking English.

9. Translates the meaning of a conversation he is listening to.

10. He solves the difficulties he encounters in listening and speaking in English.

Teaching and learning methods

The course will provide the student, through a combination of theoretical lectures, panel discussions, listening to recorded conversations in the language lab, discussion and dialogue, training to improve listening and speaking skills in groups.

Methods of assessments

Methods of evaluating students in this course:

(semester work 40% and final 60%)

Term work: divided between written midterm exams:

First midterm exam (15 marks)

Second midterm exam (15 marks)

Homework (10 marks)

Written final exam (60 marks)
