Overview

This course aims to develop students' awareness and use of reading strategies. It also helps them broaden their understanding and build their views on global issues and social aspects. It also provides students with skills that enable them to be able to read and criticize.

Intended learning outcomes

At the end of the course, the student must be able to:

1. develop awareness and the use of reading strategies.

  1. expand his/ her knowledge and build a global perspective of world issues and social trends.
  2. equip him/ herself with skills that will enable them to become effective readers.
  3. read and think critically.

Teaching and learning methods

The course will be presented to the student through lectures, panel discussions, or assignments and exercises, discussion and dialogue
