Overview

This course deals with writing creative stories and writing poetry, as well as introducing students to the method of writing essays and practicing writing essays as well.

Intended learning outcomes

This course aims to:

1. Make the students aware of the challenges of creative writing

2. Discuss ways and methods of writing articles creatively

3. know the techniques of writing essays and poetry

4. discuss a range of books, poetry, films, and essays as models of creative writing.

5. write the essays with correct techniques

6. evaluate and correct what he/she writes in the light of the techniques of writing . essays.

7. . Be more confident while writing in English

Teaching and learning methods

The course will be presented to the student through lectures, panel discussions, or assignments and exercises, discussion and dialogue

Methods of assessments

Methods of evaluating students in this course:

(class work 40% & final 60%)

Class work is divided into written midterm, assignments and tasks.

Final exam is in a form of written exam.
