Overview

It develops students’ abilities to analyze literary works, and enriches their literary knowledge by reading different types of literary works of poetry, drama, etc.

Intended learning outcomes

At the end of the course, the student must be able to:

1. Identify the history of English prose literature.

2. Appreciate prose literary works in English.

3. Read closely about literary works

4. Identify different perspectives on life and different ways of thinking about the world.

5. Analyze and appreciate various literary poems, plays, short stories and novels from English literature.

Teaching and learning methods

The course will be presented to the student through lectures, panel discussions, or assignments and exercises, discussion and dialogue

Methods of assessments

Methods of evaluating students in this course:

(class work 40% & final 60%)

Class work is divided into written midterm, assignments and tasks.

Final exam is in a form of written exam.
