Overview
Management is described as the art of leading
and directing people with the aim of getting work done and achieving the
desired results. The administration is also responsible for achieving the goals
and stabilizing the events of
development and progress, and it is the driving element and directed to all
work facilities in the institution
through planning, organization, guidance and control, hence the concept
of managing sports bodies and institutions is based on three dimensions
associated with the concept of sports institutions, namely: Social formation,
activity practice and objectives, and the organizational structure of the
institution and the sports body in addition to the standards of management of
sports institutions, including administrative standards, financial standards
and legal standards in addition to specialized technical standards, and all
this depends on strong scientific
foundations comes organization and management at the forefront and to reach a comprehensive quality, and therefore this
requires the student to understand well the application of management principles and familiarity with the
foundations of The formation of sports bodies and the principles of their
management, in addition to knowing the variation in the concept of the difference in the executive
management and the legislative authority in sports bodies according to the
organizational structure, as well as the
classification of sports institutions,
and the course also contributes to giving the student an understanding of how to
build the organizational structure and how to distribute responsibilities and
know the functions of the chairman of
the board of directors and mechanisms to
follow up the regularity of work in Sports bodies in a scientific form, which includes the flow of
work in addition to identifying the concept of governance of sports bodies and
the relationship between government and private agencies
Intended learning outcomes
The student is the material and moral basis of
the educational process, as he is the partner and the main axis and the only
element as an input in university education and a participant within the
elements and processes that take place in universities, so the academic
achievement, formation and preparation of the student through the targeted
inputs of specialists in the training department, which will enhance the
concept of the organization and management of sports bodies and institutions,
through the outputs that will gain the student basic knowledge of the concept
of management and its basic elements in addition to his knowledge The establishment of sports clubs and sports
federations, the functions of the Board of Directors, the composition of the
General Assembly and its terms of reference, the National Olympic Committee and
the International Olympic Committee, the statutes of clubs and federations, the
student's knowledge of the concept of quality management in sports
institutions, how to manage sports crises, the governance of sports bodies and institutions,
and the relationship between government and private agencies.
Teaching and learning methods
The
course will provide the student with a combination of these methods through
cooperation between students and using electronic means, and also through
brainstorming between students and using some learning situations, in addition
to theoretical explanations, dialogue, and discussions during lectures, as well
as through writing scientific research and work galleries specialized in each
of the vocabularies of the organization and management of sports bodies and
institutions, and also through evaluation by oral and written exams.
