Overview

This is the artistic production that took place from 622 until the 19th century in the regions that extend from Spain to India inhabited by categories of Islamic cultures,heuce the student should study in this course:

First of all, Islamic arts:

- Studying Arab-Islamic art and learning about Islamic civilizations and their artistic philosophy throughout the ages

- Studying Arab-Islamic art schools across different civilizations and studying their fields and types.

- Study of Arab-Islamic architecture through different eras in terms of design construction, form and system of construction in Islamic artistic civilizations.

- Studying the decorative units used in Islamic architecture and identifying the sources from which Islamic art derived its elements.

- Study of decorative arts, Islamic ceramics, mosaic art, Arabic calligraphy, textile art, Islamic carpets and metal works across different civilizations.

Second, medieval art:

Study of early and late medieval arts.

- Study of medieval architecture, sculpture, painting, painting and decoration, and engraving on various materials.

- Study of Byzantine art, Gothic art, pre-Romanticism, Romanesque art, classical art.

Description of the practical part (laboratory projects): The material is a pure theoretical material, but it is possible to conduct some research papers for some topics related to the lesson and is delivered through the lecture and open the door for discussion to contribute to the stabilization of information and urge the student to the process of research and investigation to push it to self-reliance and build practical personality.
