Overview

In this course, the student is introduced to the construction and development of the Arabic calligraphy and to learn about the types of Arabic calligraphy and the bases on which it is built, and to introduce the aesthetic, artistic and expressive values of the Arabic calligraphy and technical methods for the uses of fonts in various artistic fields.

Description of the practical part (laboratory projects):carrying out the work of applied studies for all types of fonts, through which the achievement of aesthetic organizations expressive in which the student is based on the apparent structural characteristics of the Arabic font in terms of size, direction, value, color and type of font, which emphasizes the aesthetic of the font,

Intended learning outcomes

1The student should know the types of Arabic calligraphy

2 Engage in normative descriptive language activity to learn the rules of calligraphy

3Identify the technical uses of the Arabic script

Teaching and learning methods

1.Using the learning method and implement it on different materials such as: Ceramics, foam, wood and plaster

2.Using the method of learning from error and provide opportunities to correct errors

3.Encourage students to use calligraphy and ornamentation tools
