Overview

This course is so helpful to Translation students as they need to discuss their graduation projects in public. It attempts to provide some valuable information related to presenting in public as how to start your presentation, how to attract audience, how to simplify, how to conclude, and so forth. The most important thing this subject provides is how to gain you confidence while speaking in public.

Intended learning outcomes

By the end of this course, students should:

· have gained confidence to speak in public.

· be familiarized with the different techniques presenters need while presenting in public.

· Know when to stop talking, when to emphasize, when to simplify… etc

· Know how to start, attract audience and how to conclude.

Teaching and learning methods

The interactive teaching method is used as the instructor is deliberately encouraging the students to interact by posing a number of questions before and during explaining the lesson, asking them, for instance, to think of examples and to present in front of the others.

Methods of assessments

Total of 100 Grades should be divided as follows:

· 30% Midterm Exam

· 10% Assignment

· 60% Final Exam
