Overview

This course aims to introduce the students to different aspects of the history of Libya, it connects the students with the history of their country. The course, also reviews the political and economic history. It shows the circumstances of establishing Libya and the relation between Libya and the Ottoman Rule. Italian colonization of Libya is also reviewed in this course.

Intended learning outcomes

By the end of this course the students will be able to:

· improve the knowledge through studying the different topics of this course

· understand the historical events and their role in forming the historical events and their role in forming the historical and political reality of the country.

· Able to realize the importance of studying the history of Libya.

Teaching and learning methods

Lectures including explanations and discussions.

Students are encouraged to participate during the lecture by presenting papers of different topics of the course followed by discussions and feedback in the classroom.

Methods of assessments

First evaluation is a written exam 40%

Second evaluation is a written exam 60%
