Overview

It aims to prepare a teacher who is fluent in the methods of teaching the modern Arabic language, and also aims to build the personality of the teacher as the first building block on which the educational process is based. He gets acquainted with the Arabic language and its potentials, functions, language curricula in the different educational stages, with identification of the branches of the Arabic language such as reading, expression, spelling and calligraphy, with identification of methods of teaching texts, rhetoric and grammar.

Intended learning outcomes

By the end of the course, the student should be able to

1. Enable the students to know the teaching objectives and their different types.

2. Provide the students with information on the basic elements on which the educational process depends.

3. Introduce the students to the concept of Islamic education.

4. Train the students on the method of preparing the teaching plan for each lesson he teaches

5. Develop students' skills to distinguish the characteristics and functions of language.

Teaching and learning methods

The course will be presented to the student through lectures, panel discussions, assignments and exercises, and discussion and dialogue.

Methods of assessments

Methods of evaluating students in this course: ( Mid-term 40% and final 60%

Term-work: divided between duties , tasks and written midterm exams.

Written final exam.
