Overview

This course aims at training students to analyze Arabic texts at different language levels: phonological, morphological, syntactic and semantic levels. This is done through studying eloquent texts from Standard Arabic.

Intended learning outcomes

1. Analyze different texts syntactically, morphologically, and rhetorically.

2. Write correctly through applying the dictation, spelling and punctuation rules.

3. Read correctly using the right word syntactic markers.

4. Recognize the rules they studied in previous grammar courses and identify them in selective study texts.

Teaching and learning methods

The course will be presented to the student through lectures, panel discussions, assignments and exercises.

Methods of assessments

Methods of evaluating students in this course (class work 40% & final 60%)

Class work: is divided into 25% First Midterm, 15% Second Midterm.

Written final exam: 60%
