Overview

It aims to introduce the students to the concept of prosody and the foundations of prosody writing, to know prosody activations, to get acquainted with the basic terms of prosody, and to know the method of dicing poetic verses, with identification of prosody circles.

Intended learning outcomes

By the end of the course, the student should be able to

1. Know the position of prosody.

2. Know the historical aspect of this science.

3. Know the reason for giving him this name.

4. Know the scientific terminology of this science.

5. Get acquainted with the poetic themes: their number, their names, and their activations.

Teaching and learning methods

The course will be presented to the student through lectures, panel discussions, assignments and exercises, and discussion and dialogue.

Methods of assessments

Methods of evaluating students in this course: ( Mid-term 40% and final 60%

Term-work: divided between duties , tasks, and written midterm exams.
