Overview

This course provides knowledge of personality, the importance of studying personality and the linguistic origin of the term. It also includes dimensions of personality and theories that deal with personality.

Intended learning outcomes

By the end of the course, the students will be able to:

1. Know concepts related to personality psychology

2. Outline significant theories in personality psychology

3. Enumerate distinguished academic additions of scholars in the methods of measuring human personality

4. Explain theoretical differences in clarifying features of the human personality

5. Explain how mental illness occurs and the difference between validity and reliability in measuring personality

6. Compare theoretical concepts in terms of similarities and differences

7. Explain the causes of imbalance and personality disorders from different theoretical perspectives

8. Classify theories in terms of affiliation with psychological schools

9. Distinguish objective and projective tests

10. Analyze skill for formulating questions in measuring personality

11. Submit a report on theoretical concepts in personality psychology

12. Formulate a question for the exam

13. Evaluate personal measurement methods in terms of advantages and disadvantages

14. Practice performing statistical data processing

15. Formulate questions skillfully

16. Use modern sources to gather information to enrich knowledge

17. Collect and summarize information from various sources as needed

18. Present own opinion on assignment topics
